Growing urbanisation and the rising demand for better housing have increased manifold in recent times. With mounting pressure on land and resources to create livable cities, coupled with increasing climate vulnerabilities, urban development needs to be redefined. Addressing this need, we are pleased to introduce our flagship initiative, AltUrban, which aims to create alternative urban environments that are healthy, inclusive, and regenerative. Aligned with this year’s theme, Housing Redefined, the program showcased an exciting design competition, a knowledge and outreach campaign, and a global summit — all centered on reimagining the future of housing.
